Gold medal of the SMO

During the 1st congress of the Mauritanian Society of Ophthalmology (SMO) and simultaneously the 5th congress of the Society of Medical Sciences of Mauritania which took place from 19 to 22 May 2009, Mr. Mohamed Ould Bouamatou, founder and president of the Fondation Bouamatou, received the gold medal of the Mauritanian Society of Ophthalmology for his fight against blindness throughout the country as well as in neighboring regions.
